Arsenal could be targeting a shock double deal for Aston Villa and England duo Ezri Konsa and Morgan Rogers, while they are also said to be preparing a new offer for Bruno Guimaraes and pursuing Bradley Barcola, though have been hijacked by Manchester City in the race for Leicester wonderkid Jeremy Monga.
Manchester United are believed to have opened talks with West Ham over Crysencio Summerville, with goalkeeper Kit Margetson also set to join amid ongoing interest in the likes of Felix Nmecha, Aurelien Tchouameni and Carlos Baleba. One player who may not be joining Arsenal this summer after all is Leicester wonderkid Jeremy Monga.
The Gunners have been in negotiations for some time now regarding the 16-year-old winger, but have been unable to reach an agreement.
That has led to a stunning transfer hijack from Manchester City, who are said to have muscled in with a move of their own in recent days.
The Telegraph report that City have now agreed a £10m fee with Leicester for Monga as they look to strike a blow to their Premier League title rivals.

As mentioned, today could well be the day for Sandro Tonali and Tottenham.
It has been an incredible week on the transfer front for Spurs, who have agreed a deal with Newcastle for the in-demand Italy star said to be worth an initial £92.5m plus a further £7.5m in add-ons.
That is after having already beaten Manchester United to the signing of Portuguese midfielder Mateus Fernandes, who joined from rivals West Ham for £85m on Wednesday.
Tonali flew in from Milan on Thursday in order to undergo a medical with Tottenham and confirmed the move during a brief interview with Sky in Italy that was conducted at the airport.
Presuming all went well with those medical tests, Tonali is expected to be confirmed as a Spurs player at some stage on Friday.
Manchester United are said to have opened talks over a deal for Crysencio Summerville.
The Dutch winger is on the radar of most of the Premier League’s biggest clubs this summer and is widely expected to leave West Ham following their relegation to the Championship on the final day of last season.
Summerville impressed further at the World Cup before the Netherlands’ penalty shootout exit to Morocco in the round of 32, with Ben Jacobs of GiveMeSport now reporting that United have begun initial exploratory talks over a potential transfer.
However, it is said that any move for the former Leeds star could be dependent on Marcus Rashford first being sold.
Arsenal’s pursuit of Bruno Guimaraes does not appear to have been diminished by Newcastle team-mate Sandro Tonali’s imminent £100m transfer to rivals Tottenham.
Tonali could officially join Spurs as soon as today after the Italian international arrived from Milan on Thursday in order to undergo a medical following an agreement between the two clubs.
Newcastle seem unlikely to sell both Tonali and fellow midfielder - and captain - Guimaraes in the same summer window, having already seen Anthony Gordon leave for Barcelona, though The Sun claim that Arsenal have not given up hope when it comes to the Brazilian.
They say the Gunners still believe that a deal can be made and are set to return with an offer of around £60m, having seen an initial approach for Guimaraes rebuffed last week.
Arsenal are interested in Ezri Konsa in addition to Morgan Rogers this summer, new reports claim.
The Gunners’ admiration for Rogers is well-established, with Standard Sport understanding that he has been made their top transfer priority for this window.
However, The Telegraph now claim that Arsenal are also keen on Rogers’ versatile Aston Villa and England team-mate Konsa as they bid to strengthen in defence amid uncertainty over Ben White’s future in north London.
It remains to be seen what impact the interest in Konsa will have on their pursuit of Rogers, for whom Villa could apparently demand an enormous fee of around £130m.
Nottingham Forest expect to spend £45m on Tottenham’s Lucas Bergvall, similar to the fee which Brighton paid for Luka Vuskovic earlier this summer, per Sky Sports.
Spurs, though, do not want to sell the young Swede.
Arsenal remain interested in signing Bruno Guimaraes.
According to The Sun, negotiations via intermediaries over a £60m deal are ongoing.
