Transfer news LIVE!
The January transfer window is rapidly approaching its final week as Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool all battle to get some key signings done before the deadline. The Gunners have confirmed Ethan Nwaneri’s loan exit to Marseille, while they are also said to have held talks over Julian Alvarez as they keep close tabs on wonderkids Iago Machado and Vasilije Kostov. Gabriel Martinelli is being targeted for a move to Saudi Arabia, with Oleksandr Zinchenko heading to Ajax.
Chelsea want Douglas Luiz and are preparing a surprise switch to hijack Nottingham Forest’s loan for the Juventus midfielder. They are also working to beat Arsenal to Jeremy Jacquet and pip Manchester United to the signing of Yisa Alao. However, speculation continues over the future of Cole Palmer, with sensational reports claiming that he may want to move to Old Trafford as United plot an audacious swoop and also look at Adam Wharton, Carlos Baleba, Elliot Anderson and Alex Scott to replace the outgoing Casemiro amid new contract talks with Kobbie Mainoo.
Liverpool could make a first bid for Yan Diomande as a successor to Mohamed Salah and are keen on a big-money deal for Micky van de Ven, while Tottenham are in shock talks to sign Andy Roberson as Leeds bid for Jorgen Strand Larsen. Follow the latest transfer news, rumours and gossip live below!

Arsenal have been given a major boost in their pursuit of Julian Alvarez.
It emerged yesterday that the Gunners could launch a blockbuster summer move for the Atletico Madrid forward, as Mikel Arteta bids to upgrade his attack for next season.
Barcelona are also said to be interested in Alvarez but their ongoing financial difficulties complicate their hopes of a potential transfer.
Arsenal sport director Andrea Berta is also said to have strong links with Atletico and retains a close relationship with Alvarez’s agent Fernando Hidalgo, with reports now claiming that could help the Gunners strike a deal for a player who could cost more than £90million (€100m).

New Real Madrid manager Alvaro Arbeloa has reportedly told Trent Alexander-Arnold to leave the club.
Alexander-Arnold only arrived at Real Madrid from Liverpool seven months ago, but has endured a difficult first season because of injuries which has stopped him from nailing down a regular starting spot.
According to Spanish outlet El Nacional, Arbeloa sat down with Alexander-Arnold and has told him to leave Madrid for his own good in the summer transfer window.

Rennes boss Habib Beye says Jeremy Jacquet is “laser-focused” amid links to Chelsea but admits “anything can happen” before the January transfer window closes.
Jacquet has emerged as a target for Chelsea this month as new head coach Liam Rosenior seeks to bolster his squad for the second half of the season.
In addition to Jacquet, Standard Sport understands that a new midfielder and attacker are also being considered by the Blues either before the February 2 deadline or in the summer.

Ethan Nwaneri took part in Marseille training on Friday for the first time after sealing his loan move from Arsenal.
Nwaneri, who could make his Marseille debut on Saturday, will spend the remainder of the season with the Ligue 1 outfit after it was decided he needs more first-team football.
The 18-year-old trained with his new team-mates such as Angel Gomes, Quinten Timber - brother of Jurrien - and former Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for the first time on Friday.

Tottenham may have been handed a huge boost in their pursuit of Andy Robertson with Liverpool earmarking a replacement.
Robertson has emerged as somewhat of a surprise target for Spurs who are in talks to make the experienced left-back their third signing of the January transfer window.
It has been widely reported that for Liverpool to sanction the sale of the 31-year-old, a replacement would have to be identified in order to avoid leaving Arne Slot short of options at left-back for the remainder of the season.
This may soon become a reality as Spurs can now accelerate plans to sign Robertson with the Reds reportedly being given the ‘green light’ to recall Kostas Tsimikas from his loan spell at Roma.

Tottenham could make a shock move for Jean-Philippe Mateta in this window, according to TeamTalk.
Aston Villa and Juventus are both thought to be in the running for the Frenchman’s signature as he looks to engineer a move away from Selhurst Park.
Villa’s move for Tammy Abraham and Juventus’ unwillingness to shell out the desired fee could see both potential destinations fall through, though, opening the door for Spurs to swoop.
According to the report, they could only make a move if Randal Kolo Muani’s loan move from PSG was cut short.
It also remains to be seen whether Palace would be willing to sell to a London rival, as they did when sending Eberechi Eze to Arsenal in the summer.

It seems there is plenty of distance still to cover as Tottenham pursue a move for Andy Robertson.
The club were reported by Standard Sport to be in advanced talks over a deal earlier today.
But a deal cannot be too close to completion. Robertson has travelled with Liverpool to Bournemouth for their Premier League clash tomorrow.
It remains to be seen whether he will be involved at the Vitality Stadium.

RB Leipzig expect Yan Diomande to become their club-record sale in the summer, provided he can maintain his form through the second-half of the season.
The forward is expected to go for over €100million (£86.6m), according to Sky Germany, eclipsing the €90m (£78m) they made from selling Josko Gvardiol to Man City.
Bayern Munich and Liverpool are among the clubs known to be interested in his services.
