FC Bayern will have to offload a number of players this summer in order to generate income. That is the clear task for Max Eberl. One previously loaned player is now officially leaving the club
The Israeli goalkeeper was loaned out to HSV in the first half of last season, but was only number two there. He then went on loan to Southampton FC
And despite missing out on promotion, Peretz will now join the Saints on a permanent basis , it was officially confirmed on Friday
The goalkeeper has made a name for himself in England and performed very well. Peretz impressed with his style, but also with his saves and intelligent play. That’s why the record champions are now also collecting a transfer fee, which is said to be in the region of 7.5 to 8 million euros

Peretz has a very good relationship with Southampton coach Tonda Eckert in particular, which, according to various media reports, was ultimately the decisive factor in the permanent deal with the second division club
Max Eberl commented on the 25-year-old’s move: „Daniel immediately established himself as number one at Southampton FC after his transfer in the winter and found a new sporting home there. We thank him for the time we spent together in Munich: he is a great character and has always contributed in a highly professional manner. We wish him all the very best for the future.“
Daniel Peretz joined FC Bayern from Maccabi Tel Aviv in the summer of 2023. He kept the FCB goal seven times and celebrated the German championship in 2024/25. So now he’s moving on. Bayern’s goalkeeping team for the new season has already been confirmed anyway and consists of Manuel Neuer, Jonas Urbig and Sven Ulreich.
