The summer transfer window is in full swing. We're back with another round-up of the latest gossip.
Xabi Alonso is considering a raid on former club Real Madrid this summer. The Spaniard wants Chelsea to launch a double deal move for Aurélien Tchouaméni and Arda Güler, should Enzo Fernandez head for the Stamford Bridge exit door. Spanish outlet Sport are reporting that the pair will become priorities if Chelsea receive a big windfall for Fernandez.
Chelsea are also one of the clubs understood to have approachedManchester City for Ruben Dias. TEAMtalk are reporting that the Blues made an ambitious enquiry for Dias, who is considering his future at the Etihad. Real Madrid and Barcelona are also keen, but the trio have been told that the centre-back is 'completely untouchable'.
Newcastle need to get active this summer withAnthony Gordon gone and Sandro Tonali set to follow. The Magpies will rake in around £165m from those sales, and are eyeing Angelo Stiller as a replacement for the latter. Kicker claim that Newcastle are in the running for the German midfielder, who has a £31.5m release clause in his Stuttgart contract.
Manchester United are assessing alternatives after being beaten to Mateus Fernandes and Elliot Anderson. Among them, according to The Guardian, is Chelsea midfielder Andrey Santos. United rate the Brazilian ball-winner highly, despite his failure to secure a regular role at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea want £50m to consider his sale.
West Ham are building for a promotion push after Premier League relegation and want Dwight McNeil to join the fight. Sky Sports say the 26-year-old is free to leave Everton this summer after entering the final 12 months of his deal. McNeil saw a £20m transfer to Crystal Palace collapse in January.
Finally,Brentford have agreed deal to sign Jaidon Anthony from Burnley for an initial £17m fee. Anthony impressed despite the Clarets' relegation and looks set for a switch to West London, as per Fabrizio Romano.
