Thursday's transfer talk includes Manchester United's pursuit of a new winger target, and Tottenham Hotspur's latest ambitious move.
Manchester United are being linked with a move to signCrystal Palace forward Ismaila Sarr. The Senegal international scored four times at the World Cup this summer and has been shortlisted as an option at Old Trafford. TEAMtalk report that the Red Devils view Sarr as an 'ideal fit' for their frontline.
Also on the agenda forMichael Carrick is a central midfielder. After missing out on Mateus Fernandes, the BBC have revealed a five-player shortlist of alternatives. Real Madrid midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni's situation continues to be monitored, while United are also assessing Carlos Baleba, Alex Scott, Tyler Adams and Felix Nmecha.
Arsenal are also on the hunt for a midfielder and believe £65m could be enough to sign Newcastle United captain Bruno Guimarães. The Gunners have had a £55m verbal offer turned down, though the Chronicle claim the North Londoners are ready to return. Newcastle are concerned that Guimaraes could be the latest big name to have his head turned.
Tottenham Hotspur have broken their transfer record to landMateus Fernandes from West Ham, and are set to surpass that fee again for Sandro Tonali. The bold business is showing no sign of slowing down, with a high-profile forward also on their radar. Manchester City winger Savinho remains a target, while the Telegraph tell us that informal talks have been held for AC Milan's Rafael Leao.
Real Madrid are close to giving up onEnzo Fernandez. The Athletic's Mario Cortegana has said that Chelsea's whopping £120m price tag is deemed out of reach for the Spanish side, as things stand.
In Italy,Juventus are plotting a move for Sunderland striker Brian Brobbey, according to TuttoMercatoWeb. The Dutchman's strong showing at the World Cup has alerted the Serie A side, who have the forward as a back-up option in the event that Randal Kolo Muani isn't re-signed from Paris Saint-Germain.
Finally,Bournemouth have agreed a deal to sign Álvaro Rodríguez from Elche. The Cherries will pay an initial £18M fee with a further £7M dependent on add-ons.
