Monaco's gamble this summer after a half-season loan, Moatasem Al-Musrati is set to experience the Italian league.

It was already known that the Libyan international (40 caps, 2 goals) would not be featuring for ASM this season, as his purchase option was not triggered. Now, more details have emerged about his new destination.

The 29-year-old defensive midfielder has been loaned out by Besiktas to Hellas Verona with a €7 million option to buy. The Italian club made the signing official on its social media platforms.

The native of Misurita played 10 matches in the Principality club's shirt, scoring a single goal against AS Saint-Etienne last May.

Under contract with Besiktas until 2027, he will be aiming to impress in Italy so that the club exercises its purchase option and he can establish himself in Serie A for the long term.
