According to L'Équipe, Trevoh Chalobah has been called up to replace the injured Tino Livramento in England’s 2026 World Cup squad, and will only link up with the group after the Croatia match.
Livramento sustained a calf injury and withdrew on Tuesday, the eve of England’s tournament opener against Croatia on Wednesday at 22:00. The national team then confirmed Chalobah, the Chelsea centre-back, as his replacement.
The 26-year-old, capped once, is heading to Kansas City, while his team-mates travel to Dallas for their first game.
Chalobah has been a regular call-up by Thomas Tuchel for qualification fixtures, but he has not played for England since June 2025.
His last appearance came in a friendly against Senegal that finished 1-3.
