Trincão sparks Sporting CP after the break to cement second | OneFootball

Sporting CP beat Moreirense 3-0 to remain second in Liga Portugal.

Leões were held before the interval as André Ferreira twice denied Trincão and then Geny Catamo with smart saves. The first half finished goalless despite the visitors' pressure.

In the 52nd minute, Trincão swept in low from the centre after Maximiliano Araújo's pass to break the deadlock. Catamo then bent a left-footer into the top left from outside the box after a lay-off from Trincão (56.). Luis Suárez sealed it with a fierce strike following a corner (75.).

Leões controlled possession at 62.5% and produced eight shots on target. Moreirense registered two efforts on target.

Suárez is second in the Liga Portugal scoring chart with 20.
