Newcastle United will welcome Arsenal at St. James’ Park on Sunday afternoon as they look to earn a victory at home in the Premier League. The Magpies managed to secure a dominant 4-1 win over Bradford City recently, which should give them a lot of confidence ahead of this game.
Eddie Howe will set his players up in a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to make a lot of changes to his starting XI for this contest. Kieran Trippier, Dan Burn and Tino Livramento could all play from the start of this game.
Nick Pope will function in between the sticks for the Magpies after being rested in midweek. Malick Thiaw will resume his partnership with Dan Burn at the centre of the Newcastle backline as they look to keep things solid on the defensive end of the field.
Kieran Trippier will play as the right-back, while Tino Livramento fills in on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will have to work hard to keep the Arsenal wide players quiet this Sunday.
Sven Botman and Lewis Hall will be named on the bench as they offer cover for the defensive positions. However, Fabian Schar won’t recover in time to face the Gunners this weekend.

Howe will opt for a midfield three of Bruno Guimaraes, Sandro Tonali and Joelinton as they focus on making life tough for the opposition at the centre of the park.
Lewis Miley will have to settle for a place on the bench as he waits for his chance to influence the game in the second 45 minutes if needed.
Jacob Murphy will try to catch the eye on the right flank, while Anthony Gordon tries to prove his worth as the left-sided wide player.
Nick Woltemade will lead the charge for the Magpies up top. He has to find a way to be a real menace in the final third.
William Osula and Anthony Elanga will make up the numbers on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the final quarter of the game if the Magpies are in need of a goal by then.
