Troy Parrott has joined Betis Sevilla from AZ Alkmaar, signing a contract through to 2031.
According to L'Équipe, the 24-year-old forward moves for €16m. With Betis, who finished fifth in La Liga last season, he will play Champions League football for the first time.
The Ireland striker, capped 37 times with 11 goals, will be in green and white at club level as well.
Parrott became a national saviour late in 2025. He struck twice in a 2-0 win over Portugal, then hit a hat-trick in a 3-2 victory against Hungary, his goal at 90+6 clinching a World Cup play-off place.
Ireland were then beaten by Czechia on penalties in the semi-finals after a 2-2 draw, losing 3-4 in the shootout.
