Troyes confirm Jocelyn Blanchard as new sporting director | OneFootball

Troyes have confirmed Jocelyn Blanchard as their new sporting director as the club return to Ligue 1. The club said in a statement that he has already taken up the role.

His appointment ends a lengthy search to replace Antoine Sibierski, who left for Anderlecht during the off-season. Blanchard, who knows president Edwin Pindi well, has been working with the club in recent days.

His brief is to support ESTAC’s sporting ambitions through collective work and a strong focus on youth development, a central pillar of the project.

Blanchard, 54, was chosen after Grégory Dupont declined and opted to remain at Red Star. The former RC Lens sporting director reunites with Pindi, having worked together at Dunkerque from 2020 to 2023.

He succeeds interim Brendan MacFarlane, appointed in May, who has returned to his City Football Group scouting role across France, Belgium and the Netherlands, a post he has held since 2023.

Blanchard was personally involved in steering Iron Gomis away from Guingamp, with the signing confirmed on Thursday. Could that finally spark a transfer window that has been very quiet so far?
