Trying to buy Newcastle United tickets – Told I must be a ticket tout or a bot | OneFootball

As a Newcastle United fan who is a Mags+ member, I received one ballot ticket last season but got to about 22 games.

Went to Wembley without a ticket just for the atmosphere, what a time for a person with heart failure (It was Brilliant).

This season 2025/26,  two games in the general sale then bam, tickets in my basket but can’t buy any, why I ask myself

After calling the Newcastle United box office from 10am till 4.15pm I finally get through to Tom and he begins to talk down to me, saying I am a bot or a ticket tout, so that’s why I am banned from buying any tickets.

I have used five separate IP addresses to buy tickets.

I have used my home’s internet, my youngest daughter’s, my eldest daughter’s, my mobile data and Wetherspoons when I am not at home (just wherever I happened to be, using them on different occasions, not logging in on more than one for the same sale). He then tells me to only use my home’s internet IP to buy tickets.

He then tells me to get a ticket in the general sale and head over to the box office within 90 minutes, but the ticket is only held for 10 minutes I tell him. Don’t worry he says, when we see your ID we will unblock your membership.

He then just decides to hang up while I am still talking,

So first thing Tuesday I head over to the box office to get some answers but when I arrive the box office is closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

I find a friendly security guard who informs me it can only be done online with emails.

I email the box office and the disabled supporter office and wait.

The next day I received multiple emails from Newcastle United, informing me I am now not banned but stop refreshing the page when I am in a Q for a ticket or the ballots.

I now have a ticket for Bradford from general sales but nothing else.

So this is a friendly warning, don’t do as I have done.
