Tuesday's Champions League tips include backing 8/1 and 12/1 Bet Builders for Arsenal v Leverkusen & Chelsea v PSG

Paul Higham has lined up two big Bet Builders as part of Tuesday's Champions League tips, with an 8/1 shot for Arsenal v Bayer Leverkusen and huge 12/1 chance for PSG's visit to Stamford Bridge.

Sporting v Bodo/Glimt Tip - Home win but Bodo march on

The mighty Bodo look set to march on, being 1/6 to make the quarter-finals after their emphatic win in Norway last week and Sporting 4/1 to pull off a huge turnaround. The 6/10 on the hosts to at least win the leg is more realistic, but Bodo showed when they went to Inter with a lead and won anyway just how dangerous they are if teams go at them.

Sporting's home form is impressive, only Benfica and Porto have won a league game there all season and they've won 15 of the past 16 with 10 clean sheets, with their defensive strength being a reason why last week's reverse was such a shock result. But they have to go for broke here and we know Bodo can be clinical on the break - I fancy Sporting to win it but the visitors will score to kill off the tie.

Arsenal v Bayer Leverkusen Tip - Back 8/1 fouls & shots Bet Builder

Arsenal results continue to far outweigh their performances - a soft late penalty last week saw them pinch a draw in Leverkusen and then Jordan Pickford's error gifted them three points on Sunday that should help see them win the Premier League. It also makes this a one leg shootout at the Emirates and Leverkusen have shown enough in winning at Man City and drawing with Bayern this weekend that they are lively 19/2 outsiders.

The Gunners have lost just one of 16 home Champions League games under Mikel Arteta so the 2/7 favourites should really qualify, but with five draws out of six Leverkusen are a tough side to beat and the 9/2 draw to force extra time shouldn't be ruled out. And given how Bayer could set up and how Arsenal definitely will approach the game it may not be a great watch, but a tight, tense European game.

So the safest match bet here is probably an Arsenal win and under 3.5 goals at 1/1 but given we've still got the Betfair Bet £10 Get £10 Sportsbook promotion on Bet Builders the player props look the way to go - especially the 5/2 on William Saliba to commit 2+ fouls.

He gave away two in the first leg and has two or more in eight of his last 13 games, and he got away with a couple against Everton too, so I'd have him down as a single but also as the base for a treble also including Bayer's Robert Andrich to repeat his two fouls from the first leg and Patrik Schick to add to his 32 shots on target this season. The talented forward returned from injury to grab an assist and hit the target against Bayern and he's already scored against Man City in the competition this season.

Chelsea v PSG Tip - Huge 12/1 Bet Builder worth a look

It's not quite game over I suppose but one win in six for Chelsea doesn't suggest a team that can turn this around against the defending Champions League winners even if they are 21/20 favourites to win the second leg - they're 15/2 to somehow qualify but that seems a bit far fetched.

Especially since PSG had the weekend off domestically to prepare so you'd think only complacency could stop them finishing the job off, and I think they'll do just that here with their cutting edge, experience and pace on the break making them a deadly opponent for a desperate Chelsea side.

PSG are well worth backing at 2/1 to win the game, which I think Luis Enrique will want to do.

We can do much, much better here though via another Bet Builder, at a massive price this one but with decent stats behind it as we'll take Enzo Fernandez to repeat last week's two-foul game at a healthy 7/5. This bet's landed in his last four Champions League games, and the Blues could well get the runaround here.

Ousmane Dembele will do some of that running, as part of such a speedy counter attack we'll take him for another 2+ shots on target which he's managed in six of his last eight starts - including against Chelsea last week.

Man City v Real Madrid Tip - Back a fast start at the Etihad

I did not expect that last week and I don't expect Man City to make a comeback either on the back of drawing at West Ham at the weekend and drawing their last home game against Nottingham Forest. A Real Madrid side fresh off a 4-1 win at the weekend don't look like a team ready to surrender a three-goal lead.

Real did lost 3-0 at Arsenal in last season's knockouts so that may be fresh in the memory, but that may only help to avoid complacency. The 7/2 on Man City to get through represents their chance at their very best - and that's not what they've been the last few games so I'm not even sure I fancy them that much to win the game as 1/2 favourites.

Can you see Man City scoring first and making it interesting? Yes, of course but I just can't see their defence keeping Real Madrid out, and especially the way Pep Guardiola's side have struggled in the second half of games they're unlikely to stay the distance. I do think it'll be a quick start but that also opens the door for Madrid so we'll back both sides to find the net in the first half.
