Two candidates to replace Hjulmand at Bayer Leverkusen emerge | OneFootball

For some time, reports have claimed that Kasper Hjulmand’s tenure as Bayer Leverkusen coach will most likely come to an end this summer.

According to Sport Bild, Die Werkself have identified two top candidates to replace the Dane.

The first is Brighton & Hove Albion coach Fabian Hürzeler. The 33-year-old reportedly has a release clause below €15 million and has informed the Premier League club that he'd like to coach a team competing in a European competition.

Talks between Bayer 04 and Hürzeler are expected to take place soon, the report adds.

Also on the shortlist is Oliver Glasner, who will not be extending his expiring contract with Crystal Palace. 

However, the former Eintracht Frankfurt and VfL Wolfsburg coach is said to prefer a move within the Premier League.
