Barcelona are set for a busy finish to the financial year, with the club aiming to finalise two important operations within the next hours.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are working to officially confirm the sale of Ansu Fati to Monaco and the contract renewal of Andreas Christensen before June 30 to strengthen their financial position ahead of the new accounting period.
Both deals are considered significant for Barcelona’s planning, especially as the board continues efforts to improve its economic situation and gain greater room to operate in the transfer market.
The coming hours, thus, are expected to be decisive at Camp Nou offices as Joan Laporta and his management team look to close key pieces of business.
The Ansu Fati transfer appears to be entering its final stages, with Monaco prepared to activate their purchase option worth €11 million.

According to the report, the Ligue 1 club will pay the agreed fee in two previously established instalments, allowing Barcelona to register the income in the current financial year.
Ansu Fati already has a four-year agreement in place with Monaco after enjoying an encouraging campaign in France, where he managed to score 11 goals.
Barcelona have been keen to complete the operation before the end of June as the transfer fee will provide an important boost to the club’s accounts.
Alongside the Ansu Fati sale, Barcelona are also preparing to secure the future of Andreas Christensen.

The Danish defender has reportedly reached an agreement to extend his stay at the club for another two seasons.
Notably, the deal includes a clause that would allow either party to terminate the agreement after the first campaign if circumstances change.
Although the renewal announcement is expected between Monday and Tuesday, the official signing ceremony is likely to take place later in the week.
The report states that Christensen will sign his contract in Joan Laporta’s office after the Barcelona president is sworn in again on Wednesday, July 1.
