There had been reports that Spurs were interested in the full back last January but a deal never went through, but it is expected Spurs will get their man this summer.

Another player that has been linked with a move on a free transfer to Spurs is Marcos Senesi.

The centre back left Bournemouth on Sunday following the final match of the season and is currently weighing up his options.

Marca reporter Matteo Moretto reports that Spurs have a verbal agreement for the player to join Spurs this summer.

Meanwhile, after West Ham were relegated from the Premier League on Sunday, the Times say that Nuno Espirito Santo’s job could be at risk.

Sky Sports have further said that David Sullivan and other West Ham board members have been in a meeting this morning that could end in his departure from the club.

Manchester United are reportedly in advanced talks for Atalanta midfielder Ederson as per Sky Sports.

There is still a gap in the player’s valuation between the two clubs with Atalanta wanting around £45m, but there is confidence a club-to-club agreement at a lower price could be reached soon, with the Brazilian out of contract next summer.

Personal terms are not thought to be an issue between the player and the club.

Another midfielder Manchester United are looking at is West Ham’s Matheus Fernandes.

The Mail report that the Manchester side, Arsenal and PSG are all monitoring the player’s position after West Ham were relegated.
