Two men will appear in the Nice criminal court on Monday for an immediate hearing over alleged violence against Nice players on 30 November as the team returned from Lorient.
According to L'Équipe, Terem Moffi, Jeremie Boga and sporting director Florian Maurice were confronted as they got off the team coach while heading for the training centre. Moffi and Boga were signed off for several days and both filed complaints.
One suspect, born in 1983 in Nice, had a prior 2014 conviction and was under judicial supervision in another case linked to violence around a sporting fixture. The other, born in 1994, has several convictions, including some that led to imprisonment.
On 28 May 2026, both were arrested and placed in police custody. Searches uncovered weapons at one home, including switchblades, a telescopic baton and tear gas canisters.
The pair deny wrongdoing and say they tried to calm the situation. Witness hearings have implicated two alleged ringleaders, described as ultras who boarded the bus when it was stopped by supporters outside the training ground.
