UCV sign Steven Pabón as fifth addition before Santos Sudamericana play-off | OneFootball

UCV, Santos’s opponents in the Copa Sudamericana play-offs, have signed Venezuelan centre-back Steven Pabón as their fifth addition for the second half of the year.

According to Diario Do Peixe, the 24-year-old joins from Trujillanos FC. Pabón stands 1.82m and featured for Metropolitanos from 2019 to 2025 before moving to Trujillanos. He won the national title in 2022 and has three career goals.

Before Pabón, UCV announced defenders Edwin Peraza, 33, and Gonzalo Mottes, 28, from Chacarita Juniors, midfielder Williams Lugo, 29, from Persipura Jayapura in Indonesia, and forward Edwin Mosquera, 25, from Independiente Santa Fé in Colombia.

The club have also released five players, defenders Rubén Ramírez and Adrian Martinez, midfielder Carlos Cermeno, and forwards Jovanny Bolivar and Juan Manuel Cuesta.

UCV host Santos in the first leg of the play-offs on 21 July. The return is at Vila Belmiro on 28 July.
