UEFA has fined Nice €750,000 for breaches of its financial rules.
According to AFP, the club must pay €450,000 immediately for exceeding the wage bill cap, and faces a further €2 million linked to accumulated deficits, of which €1.7 million is suspended.
The case also involves a deficit of more than €60 million across three seasons, which must be covered by owner Ineos.
As with Strasbourg, which was punished more heavily, the Côte d'Azur club received its sanction on Tuesday.
If OGC Nice fail to comply next season, the suspended €1.7 million would be added to the total.
