Manchester United won’t stand in the way of Rasmus Hojlund, as they’re willing to sanction his departure if they receive an appropriate offer.

The 22-year-old striker underwent a torrid campaign, only managing to score four goals in the Premier League all season.

While his European form was slightly better, Hojlund’s feeble performance in the Europa League final against Tottenham left much to be desired.

Sadly for the Dane, he has been identified as one of the main underachievers who depict the club’s banter era.

Therefore, many feel that a separation would be healthy for both parties, allowing Hojlund to put his career back on track elsewhere and United to bring in a more confident goalscorer.

In recent weeks, the former Atalanta star has been heavily linked with a return to Serie A, with some of the biggest clubs in Italian football reportedly vying for his services.

On Monday evening, Fabrizio Romano revealed that Inter Milan have already opened talks with the player’s entourage. The shell-shocked Champions League finalists are determined to enhance their attacking department, setting their sights on Hojlund alongside Parma’s Ange-Yoan Bonny.

This follows a report from Calciomercato who described the Denmark international as ‘unhappy’ and keen to ‘change air’.

Moreover, CentreDevils reveal that Hojlund’s agents have held talks with Man United directors over the past few weeks to define the player’s future.

The source reveals that INEOS are willing to consider serious offers for the player, as it provides the club with extra funds to spend on new arrivals, especially after splashing a large chunk of their transfer kitty on Matheus Cunha (£62.5 million).

Thus, it is now up to Inter, or any other suitor for that matter, to lunge forward with a suitable offer, as Man Utd won’t be building any walls around their struggling striker.
