Union St Gilloise, Anderlecht and Standard Liege interested in Moroccan striker from Union Touarga Sport

According to Sudinfo, three different Belgian teams are keen on signing Moroccan striker Tawfik Bentayeb. The 24-year-old currently plays for Rabat based side Union Touarga Sport, although last season he was on loan at French side Troyes. The three Belgian sides interested in Bentayeb are Union St Gilloise, Standard Liege and Anderlecht. Union have made an offer of around €3.5m, although the club value him at around €8m. Bentayeb is said to be keen on a move to the Belgian Pro League, with Standard Liege said to be his preferred destination.
Bentayeb ha sspent the last two seasons on loan in France. After scoring 14 goals in 49 games for Union Touarga Sport, he spent the 2024/2025 season with Rodez, socring 11 goals in 30 games. The striker took another leap last season at Troyes. In 31 games for the club he scored 20 goals, 18 of which came in the Ligue 2 campaign which saw the side win promotion to Ligue 1.
