Grêmio’s new board are already shaping the 2026 squad under head coach Luis Castro, and goalkeeper Gabriel Grando is among those who could depart.

According to GE, the club have received a proposal for Grando from an unnamed side, strengthening the possibility of an exit in the next window while a contract extension is also being discussed.

Grando is in talks with the new hierarchy about his next step, with the offer weighing on his decision as he targets more game time from 2026.

His deal runs until October 2026. From March he will be free to sign a pre-contract and leave for nothing at the end of his term, so there is urgency to reach a resolution before the window opens.

Palmeiras made an approach in 2025, but it did not become a formal bid and he stayed in Porto Alegre.

Another goalkeeper, Tiago Volpi, could also move on in 2026. After inconsistent displays, he does not have a guaranteed starting place and the new leadership are already sounding out potential signings.
