Gavin Bazunu sealed Bolton Wanderers' 1-0 win over Cardiff City with a superb save in the fourth minute of second half stoppage time, capping a standout display that defined the game.

In the sixth minute he kept Bolton level by smothering Yousef Salech's effort from the centre of the box. Moments later, he gathered Chris Willock's strike cleanly (8.). He then tipped away a close-range Salech header (12.). Soon after, he blocked Krystian Bielik from point-blank range (13.).

After the restart he clawed out another Salech header (66.). Moments later, he dealt with Ollie Tanner's low shot from the right. He then denied Jack Moylan from the centre of the area (73.), before pushing away Cian Ashford's drive from distance (80.).

The goalkeeper finished with 10 saves, eight from inside the box, underlining how his reflexes and positioning shut the door on a Cardiff side that registered 10 shots on target. He also added two punches and a high claim to relieve pressure when crosses rained in.

With Bolton defending deep against a wave of deliveries, Cardiff slung in 24 crosses, Bazunu's command of his area and clean handling steadied Wanderers through the key phases.
