US Orléans signs Mauritanian international Pape Ibnou Ba | OneFootball

The Mauritanian striker arrives to bolster the Wasps’ attacking line after a stint in Ligue 2.

Pape Ibnou Ba has officially joined US Orléans this Tuesday, September 23, 2025. The 32-year-old Mauritanian forward has signed for the 2025-2026 season and will wear the Loiret club’s colors in the National division.

A free agent since his contract with Troyes ended this summer, Pape Ibnou Ba is making a fresh start with US Orléans. Seventh in the National standings after the first seven matchdays, the French club welcomes the Mauritanian international to strengthen its squad. The Mauritanian striker boasts 126 appearances in the French second division, netting 36 goals. His successive spells at Niort, Le Havre, Pau FC, and Concarneau have given him solid experience in the league. Last season with Troyes, he played 20 matches and scored 2 goals.

“My goal is to try to bring my Ligue 2 experience, but also my National experience, since that’s where my adventure in France started with Athlético Marseille. I can play up front or around another striker, it doesn’t matter to me. The goal remains the same: to score. I already know Mamad Sylla and Fahd El Khoumisti. We were together at Concarneau, and I’m happy to see them again in Orléans,” said Pape Ibnou Ba after signing.
