Nicknamed Artilheiro do Amor, he enjoyed two memorable spells at Parque São Jorge despite coming through at rivals Palmeiras. In 2015 he scored 16 goals in 50 games and helped secure the club’s sixth national title.

Sold to Monaco in 2016, he returned to Corinthians in 2019 after a stint in Turkish football. Across two seasons he made 71 appearances and scored 13 more, including the strike that sealed the State title against São Paulo at the Neo Química Arena in 2019.

Love also starred for CSKA Moscow, and had notable spells with Flamengo and Shandong Luneng. His career further took in Alanyaspor, Besiktas, Kairat Almaty, Midtjylland, Sport, Atlético Goianiense, Avaí and most recently Retrô.
