Carlos Corberán’s side are preparing for Thursday’s LaLiga meeting with Rayo Vallecano at Mestalla, with training bringing two encouraging updates.
According to Superdeporte, Lucas Beltrán returned to full work with the group, a positive sign for his availability on matchday 36.
Thierry Rendall also stepped up, moving on to more demanding work after the initial activation as he edges towards a return. He is targeting a farewell on the pitch before his contract ends on 30 June, following the muscle injury sustained in Mallorca.
His comeback could arrive against Barça at Mestalla on the final matchday, although a return in San Sebastián against Real Sociedad on Sunday cannot be ruled out.
The coaching staff scheduled a regenerative day for those who started at San Mamés, with the rest training as normal. Among them, Sadiq looked in prime condition and has already bettered his Valencia tally from last season.
Not all the updates were positive. Mouctar Diakhaby continued to work away from the group, while José Copete and Dimitri Foulquier also sat out as they treat physical issues. All three are expected back next season.
Academy prospects Rubo and Otorbi, regulars with the B team and named in the squad at Athletic, trained with the senior group.
With Thursday closing in, Valencia are pushing to recover players and arrive in the best possible shape for a potentially decisive run-in.
