Valencia CF restore 1999 Supercopa de España banner at Mestalla after storm damage | OneFootball

Valencia CF have repaired the Supercopa de España 1999 banner on Mestalla's exterior after gale damage last week.

According to Superdeporte, the storm Nils battered the Comunitat Valenciana, toppling trees, twisting fences and prompting numerous emergency calls.

It also struck the Camp de Mestalla, whose facade is lined with banners marking each trophy in the club's history.

One, commemorating the 1999 Supercopa de España, was ripped and left hanging from one of its supports.

The club acted quickly, restoring the piece on the Joan Reglà street frontage, so the champions of that Supercopa are on display again.
