Valencia 'close to signing' Ryunosuke Sato from FC Tokyo | OneFootball

According to AS, Valencia are close to signing 19-year-old winger Ryunosuke Sato from FC Tokyo for around four million euros, after he passed a medical in Valencia.

He chose Valencia ahead of Feyenoord, and the move is described as a personal bet by Lisandro Isei.

Sato is intended to join the first team in a surprise move by Valencia’s sporting department, which is backing the international winger.

He has already played five times for his country’s senior side.

Sato would be the third signing of the summer, alongside Justin De Haas and Aliou Dieng, reflecting the new recruitment policy under Isei. He would be the first Japanese player in Valencia’s history.
