Valencia confirm hamstring injuries for Agirrezabala and Diakhaby, duo out around two months | OneFootball

Valencia have suffered a double setback, with Julen Agirrezabala and Mouctar Diakhaby facing around two months out, six-eight weeks. The blow leaves Carlos Corberán without his first-choice goalkeeper and most experienced centre-back.

The club said in a statement that both sustained hamstring injuries against RC Celta de Vigo, and will follow medical, physiotherapy and reconditioning programmes at the training ground until clinical improvement.

Agirrezabala has damaged his left hamstring.

Diakhaby has an injury to his right hamstring.

The pair will miss with certainty the next five LaLiga fixtures, against Elche on 10 January, Getafe on 18 January, Espanyol on 24 January, Betis on one February and Real Madrid on eight February.

Depending on their recoveries, the plan is for possible returns around the games against Levante on 15 February, Villarreal on 22 February or Osasuna on one March.
