Valencia's win at San Mamés was underpinned by standout performances and a fine attacking move, highlighted by Umar Sadiq's header from a Luis Rioja assist.

According to Superdeporte, Stole Dimitrievski produced a superb stop to deny Iñaki Williams, then in the second half pulled off an outstanding save from Unai Gómez's header. His experience slowed the game when Valencia needed it and helped close out the final stages.

In defence, Renzo Saravia delivered a composed display. César Tárrega overcame early nerves to impress after the break. Eray Cömert looked assured on his return and José Luis Gayà was authoritative on the left.

In midfield, Pepelu returned alongside Guido Rodríguez to add bite, competing especially without the ball. Guido excelled as the positional pivot, closing off space throughout.

Javi Guerra worked hard rather than dazzled, his ball recovery proved pivotal in the goal. Diego López sought depth but had a subdued outing. Hugo Duro won a penalty, then hit the crossbar from the spot.

From the bench, Umar Sadiq lost his marker and buried a firm header from Rioja's service. Filip Ugrinic came on to graft and balance midfield after the goal. Largie Ramazani sparked the counter for the strike and later attacked central spaces on the break.
