Valencia players near the end of holidays as Carlos Corberán’s pre-season looms | OneFootball

Valencia’s first-team players are into their final days off, with pre-season under Carlos Corberán about to begin.

According to AS, medical screening starts on Wednesday, with the full group due at the Ciudad Deportiva de Paterna on Monday 6 July.

For now Corberán will have only two new faces. Dieng and De Haas will arrive in Valencia this week and will join the group from Monday.

Last summer the club’s offices were frantic with outgoings and arrivals. Pre-season then revolved around Hugo Guillamón, Sergi Canós and Cenk Özkacar, who trained apart while seeking moves.

Hugo Guillamón joined Hajduk Split. Sergi Canós returns injured after a loan at Valladolid and will not take part in this pre-season.

Cenk has come back from Köln and will have to cross paths again with Corberán, who is not counting on him and hopes a quick exit can be found to avoid a drawn-out summer.
