Valencia Women confirm three departures as promotion hero Leyre Monente leaves | OneFootball

Valencia CF Femenino said in a statement that Claudia Ferrato, Marina Martí and Leyre Monente will depart when their contracts expire on 30 June 2026, and they will not be in Mikel Crespo’s 26/27 squad.

The club thanked the trio for their professionalism and highlighted their role in the 25-26 promotion. Monente struck a 99th-minute winner in the play-off final against Villarreal at Puchades.

Ferrato, signed for 25-26, made 25 league appearances and scored three goals. She also featured in three Copa de la Reina ties, scoring twice.

Martí leaves after three seasons, 23-24 and 24-25 in Liga F then 25-26 in Primera Federación. She totalled 82 appearances, 78 in the league and four in the cup, with 11 goals.

Despite the exits, Valencia aim to retain the core of the promotion group and have already secured two renewals early in the window.

Defender Esther Gómez has extended until 30 June 2028. The 23-year-old joined the B team in summer 2024 from CP Cacereño after developing at Levante UD, debuted in Liga F in the Derbi Teika against Levante in January 2025, and established herself this season in Primera RFEF with 18 league games, seven starts, plus three in the cup.

Forward Marta Mascarell has renewed to 30 June 2029. The 20-year-old, known as Masca, entered the Academy in 2019, debuted for the first team in September 2022 in a 2-0 win over Sevilla, then became a key attacker this term with 25 league outings, 15 starts and five goals, featuring in all four play-off ties and scoring a crucial semi-final goal against CD Alba Funda, plus three cup games and one goal.
