Valentin Atangana and Yehvann Diouf expected to leave Reims | OneFootball

Stade de Reims’ relegation to Ligue 2 is likely to lead to the departures of their most bankable assets, including Valentin Atangana (19) and Yehvann Diouf (25), according to a report from L’Équipe.

Reims’ relegation was confirmed after a 3-1 defeat to FC Metz in their relegation play-off on Thursday night. Les Stadistes lost 4-2 on aggregate, bringing an end to their stay in the top-flight. However, there are plenty of individuals within the squad that will garner interest this summer.

Atangana is highly rated after his breakthrough campaign, Diouf has the best post-shot xG figures across Europe’s top five leagues, and Keito Nakamura (24) also impressed last season, scoring 11 goals in Ligue 1.

L’Équipe understands that the three aforementioned players are highly likely to leave Reims this summer. There could be further departures, including Junya Ito (32), Cédric Kipré (28), and Teddy Teuma (31). The latter, the club captain, was ostracised from the first-team set-up by the end of the campaign.
