Newcastle United will be without Valentino Livramento for two months due to a hamstring injury, according to the Daily Mail.

Livramento pulled up in discomfort just shy of the hour mark during his side’s FA Cup third-round win over Bournemouth and was forced off. Lewis Hall replaced him.

Scans have confirmed a hamstring injury, which is likely to sideline him for around eight weeks.​

Livramento has been a key figure for Eddie Howe’s side, offering versatility on either flank and valuable depth in a demanding campaign on the domestic and continental front.

His absence will increase the burden on Kieran Trippier, while Hall is expected to feature more at left-back.

Livramento’s latest setback adds to growing concerns about his overall fitness record.

The England international previously spent a year out with an anterior cruciate ligament injury at Southampton.

He has since endured further issues at Newcastle, including knee ligament and muscular problems that have disrupted his rhythm.
