Mexico made history again at the 2025 Women's U-17 World Cup in Morocco, winning the bronze medal after defeating Brazil 1-3 on penalties following a 1-1 draw in regular time.
Valeria Alvarado started and played the entire match against the Amazons, taking the first penalty kick for the national team. Alvarado started in every match of the World Cup, playing a vital role in Miguel Gamero's team.
This is one of the best performances by a Mexican women's team, after their second-place finish in Uruguay in 2018.
CONGRATULATIONS, 'VALE'!
