Vasco da Gama and Palmeiras are monitoring Fabinho’s situation for 2026, with the former Liverpool midfielder a potential target if circumstances align.
ESPN reports that Al-Ittihad plan to facilitate the Brazilian’s exit to cut costs and rejuvenate the squad.
Any move would be financially daunting in Brazil. Fabinho earns 24 million euros per season, roughly R$ 156 million, about R$ 13 million per month.
His contract runs until June 2026, and he still has around R$ 78 million due. A return home would require him to forgo a fortune, so Europe could be likelier if a termination occurs.
There is an emotional pull. After celebrating a recall to the Brazil squad in November, he dreams of playing at the next World Cup, and visibility in Brazil could help.
Across 13 years in Europe with Real Madrid, Monaco and Liverpool, he would bring leadership and a winning mentality to any squad.
