Vasco confirm Hugo Moura exit to Saudi side Al-Fahya | OneFootball

Vasco said in a statement on Wednesday afternoon that midfielder Hugo Moura has left for Al-Fahya, who play in Saudi Arabia's first division.

With only a few months left on his deal, club and player agreed an amicable termination. Vasco received no transfer fee, but the departure eases the wage bill.

The midfielder had his move lined up last week, when he said his goodbyes to team-mates and staff at CT Moacyr Barbosa.

Hugo was a request of coach Fábio Carille, now in charge at Al-Fahya, having worked with him at Vasco and Athletico-PR. He joined the Rio club in April 2024 on loan with an obligation to buy, and since then has played 119 games, scoring four goals and supplying seven assists.

Vasco are back in action on Thursday, 16 July, away to Vitória at Barradão. The match is in the Campeonato Brasileiro, their first since the World Cup break.
