According to Coluna Do Fla, Vasco are close to selling forward Rayan to Bournemouth in this window, with the player having agreed terms and awaiting the club’s response. That could keep him out of Wednesday’s Carioca meeting with Flamengo.

Bournemouth have offered 35 million euros, about R$ 218 million, and Vasco have accepted the fee but set conditions. They want extra performance-related bonuses and targets, and a sell-on percentage. Bournemouth have not yet accepted that counterproposal.

Rayan was not included for Sunday 18 against Nova Iguaçu in the Carioca. Coach Fernando Diniz left him out while negotiations continue.

Flamengo face Vasco at 21:30 Brasília time on Wednesday 21 at the Maracanã. The game will be shown on Rede Globo free-to-air and on Premiere via pay-per-view.

Rayan now awaits final agreement between the clubs, and his involvement in the clássico remains uncertain.
