Vasco group of 106 councillors backs Pedrinho and urges SAF sale to Marcos Lamacchia | OneFootball

106 members of Vasco’s Deliberative Council issued a letter on Monday backing president Pedrinho and supporting the sale of the club’s SAF to businessman Marcos Lamacchia. The council comprises 300 councillors, 150 natos, comprising beneméritos and grandes beneméritos, and 150 elected.

Colina 1927 first reported the letter. The signatories describe this as one of the most decisive periods in the club’s history and present a new investor’s entry as a concrete chance for institutional reconstruction.

The text calls for courage in decision making, responsibility in leadership and unity to place Club de Regatas Vasco da Gama above any individual interest.

It stresses that any potential transaction must meet strict standards of legality, transparency, governance and the safeguarding of Vasco’s assets.

The group adds that signing the Memorandum of Understanding is only one step in negotiations, which still require legal, financial and institutional reviews before any vote by members at an Extraordinary General Assembly. They argue internal political disputes should not be used to block or delay progress before all documents are presented and debated.
