Vasco make major wage saving as Matheus França returns to Crystal Palace | OneFootball

According to Coluna Do Fla, Vasco have opted not to renew Matheus França’s loan and have returned the midfielder to Crystal Palace, delivering significant savings.

França was on a salary of around R$ 1.5 million at Vasco during the loan, which ended in June.

He made 27 appearances for Vasco but scored only one goal while available to the coaching staff.

His future at Crystal Palace is uncertain. He had limited opportunities in England before the loan and may be negotiated again.

Flamengo sold França to Crystal Palace in July 2023 for 20 million euros, paid in instalments, plus a further 5 million euros in potential bonuses. That equated to R$ 104 million at the time, with another R$ 26 million possible.
