Vasco da Gama have confirmed their biggest sale, sending academy forward Rayan to Bournemouth for 35 million euros, about R$ 219 million at current rates. The deal, announced on Tuesday 27, includes a fixed sum plus performance-related add-ons linked to Premier League targets.
While a landmark for the club, the fee falls just outside Brazil’s top 10 outgoing transfers. According to ge, 10th place is Luiz Henrique’s 2025 move from Botafogo to Zenit for R$ 227.4 million.
Rayan’s package is similar in foreign currency, but exchange-rate conversion proved decisive. The fee sits roughly R$ 8 million shy of 10th place.
The upper reaches of the list are led by Endrick on R$ 309.8 million, followed by Neymar on R$ 299.6 million and Rodrygo on R$ 290 million. Recent sales by Palmeiras and Santos continue to set the pace.
For Vasco, Rayan becomes the most valuable outgoing player, overtaking previous sales of Paulinho and Douglas Luiz. The windfall supports 2026 planning, including squad investment, infrastructure such as São Januário works, and debt payments. A move to the Premier League, the world’s richest league, further burnishes the reputation of the club’s academy.
