Vasco have announced the signing of Argentine midfielder Santiago Sosa, formerly of Racing, on a contract running until December 2029. The club confirmed the deal on Wednesday.

Sosa arrived in Rio de Janeiro at the weekend for medical tests, was approved, then signed and began training under Pedro Emanuel.

He will not be available against Olimpia on Thursday, as Vasco did not register him in time.

He said he is very happy to join a very big club in Brazil, keen to meet the supporters, win, and see the stadium many have told him about.

Sosa follows left-back Paulinho and forward Facundo Colidio as arrivals in this transfer window.
