Vasco have extended Robert Renan’s loan to the end of the year, easing the most urgent squad issue while they weigh whether to trigger four purchase options worth about R$ 157 million.

According to Globo.com, Carlos Cuesta, Johan Rojas and Cuiabano are on deals running until the end of 2026, each with a set fee, and the club will assess their futures over the coming months.

The hierarchy want to keep them, but are working with a limited budget for the second half of the year, after heavy spending in the first window and with the SAF sale still not concluded.

If all were exercised now, the outlay would be about R$ 157 million at current rates. The clauses are: Robert Renan 8 million euros, R$ 47.2 million, Carlos Cuesta 5.75 million euros, R$ 34 million, Cuiabano 10 million euros, R$ 59 million, and Johan Rojas 3.5 million dollars, R$ 17.7 million.

Matheus França, on loan from Crystal Palace, had no option in his agreement. Vasco did not seek a renewal, and he will return to England after his holidays.

In January the club bought Andrés Gómez outright from Rennes, paying a little over 4.5 million euros for 60% of the forward’s rights. He has been one of the standouts of Vasco’s season and will be at the World Cup with Colombia.
