Valencia CF's continued expansion in Mexico will see the club open a new VCF Academy in Mexico City in September. The club have maintained a close relationship with the North American country in recent seasons, and share a special historical connection, as the descendants of Octavio Augusto Milego -Valencia CF’s first president-, reside there.

“We are very happy because on September 1st we are opening our new VCF Academy in Mexico City, and on that same day, we are starting the second year at the VCF Academy in Morelia. We are confident that this represents a step forward in the growth we have been anticipating across the entire country,” says Alejandra Maffey, Director of the VCF Academy Mexico.
Valencia CF’s projects in Mexico have seen exponential growth over this period; having kicked off with an initial VCF Camp in León in March 2024, the initiative has since expanded to include numerous VCF Camps across various locations. They have established permanent projects through the VCF Academy in Morelia and the new VCF Academy in Mexico City, which will be located in Terranova, in the south of the capital.
“Fortunately, we’ve created a lot of hype; people are finding out that Valencia CF are in Mexico, that we have the VCF Academy in Morelia, that we have the VCF Camps, and that we’re participating in tournaments across the country. This helped raise awareness in Mexico City, and they were the ones who sought us out to set up the VCF Academy in Terranova,” notes Maffey.

VCF Camps AROUND MEXICO
The new location in Mexico City is another step in Valencia CF’s growth, as the club simultaneously expand their presence through the various VCF Camps it holds across the country.
“We’ve added new locations in Aguascalientes and Mexico City, and we have met the objectives we had set,” notes Maffey.
“We are reaching cities that hadn't previously had an international experience. So, for us to arrive with this VCF Camp -bringing the top-level coaches we always send from Valencia CF- is a truly enriching thing; it means that by the time the camp ends, the participants have developed a real fondness for Valencia CF.”

MetHODOLOGY AND VALUES
The expansion of Valencia CF’s projects in Mexico is driven by the methodology of the VCF Academy, as well as the philosophy and values, which are also highly regarded in the educational sphere.
“We make a strong point on social media that what defines us when we attend tournaments is our values. We recently went to a tournament in Querétaro and won the award for the best fans, thanks to what we represent and the sense of a common bond we share."

THE VCF Academy World Cup
The new VCF Academy in Mexico City-Terranova will further strengthen ties within a country with a rich footballing tradition -a nation that recently co-hosted the 2026 World Cup alongside the USA and Canada.
Players from VCF Academy Morelia and the VCF Camps in Mexico took part in the VCF Academy World Cup, held in Valencia in June, where they emerged as champions in the 'Sentiment' category.

The children were happy; from the moment they set foot in Valencia, they radiated this unstoppable energy wherever they went. Now that they’re sharing this with their teammates back in Mexico, naturally, everyone wants to come over, too. It was an incredible experience for them, both in terms of football and personal growth," explains Maffey.

The VCF Soccer Academies established by the VCF Academy in strategic markets across North America, Europe, Asia, and Oceania -along with VCF Soccer Camps, international partnerships, technical consultancy, and the VCF Academy World Cup- are all part of the VCF Academy Programs. These initiatives help expand the Valencia CF brand on a global scale.
