Vendée Fontenay v PSG: 3 out in official update, 2 surprises

This Saturday, Paris Saint-Germain (1st) faces Vendée Fontenay (National 3, 5th division of French football) at the Stade de la Beaujoire for the Round of 64 of the 2025-2026 French Cup (kick-off at 9 PM, broadcast on beIN SPORTS). After Friday's training, on the eve of the match, the club provided an update on injuries.

« – Suffering from a muscle injury to his left thigh during Wednesday's match against Flamengo, Lee Kang-In will be unavailable for several weeks. – Matvey Safonov has a fracture in his left hand, following the match against Flamengo. A new update will be provided in 3 to 4 weeks. – Bradley Barcola remains in treatment due to muscle fatigue. »

Lee Kang-In will therefore be out for several weeks, as expected. For Matvey Safonov, it's very bad news as he was in great shape. He will miss at least the restart on January 4 against Paris FC, and likely the Trophée des Champions against OM on January 8. Bradley Barcola should return soon, but he needs rest after a busy period.
