VfB Stuttgart 'to offer' Dzenan Pejcinovic package that could exceed €25m amid Porto interest | OneFootball

Wolfsburger Allgemeine Zeitung reports that VfB Stuttgart have raised their bid for Dzenan Pejcinovic again, offering just under €23.5m guaranteed with performance bonuses that could push the package beyond €25m.

The clubs are discussing add-ons, and Stuttgart are about €1.5m short of Wolfsburg’s valuation. Sporting director Dieter Hecking has insisted the asking price leaves no room for negotiation.

Stuttgart had previously gone to roughly €22m. Porto made an offer of about €23m that was rejected, and the Portuguese champions are expected to return.

The report adds that Pejcinovic favours Stuttgart. The 21-year-old has a verbal agreement to 2031 and believes working under Sebastian Hoeneß, as well as moving closer to home, would best serve his development.

Both suitors can offer Champions League football, but the player’s preference currently gives VfB an advantage.

If accepted, the deal would rank among the most expensive in Stuttgart’s history, with only Deniz Undav’s permanent move from Brighton, around €26.7m, costing more.

Wolfsburg are not under pressure to sell after the exits of Lovro Majer and Andreas Skov Olsen, while Konstantinos Koulierakis could also depart amid Roma interest. Stuttgart, preparing for the 2026/27 Champions League, have signed Leo Sauer from Feyenoord and are braced for possible departures of Jamie Leweling and Bilal El Khannouss.
