Chelsea have equalised against Liverpool after Enzo Fernandez’s free kick eluded everyone and went in at the far post.

Chelsea started this game terribly, but they’ve come into it in the last ten minutes, and they’ve got a goal almost from nowhere.

The Blues picked up a free kick out wide midway through the Liverpool half. Enzo Fernandez chose to take it low, sweeping across the retreating defenders towards the far post.

Wesley Fofana reached out a foot to try and redirect it, and his intervention froze the goalkeeper on his line.  From the look of Fofana’s reaction though, he didn’t touch it. In the celebrations he seemed to point to Enzo to credit him with the goal.

Chelsea confidence rising after goal

Chelsea were looking better before this goal and they’ve had a chance after it too. Let’s hope they can ride this wave and grab another while Liverpool look uncomfortable.

This side have been without a shred of confidence for weeks, and they finally have some now. Calum McFarlane needs to keep up the pressure at half time.

In other news…

Chelsea were behind from early in this one after Filip Jorgensen made a poor effort to stop Ryan Gravenberch’s shot.

Levi Colwill is back starting today, but we’re worried it might be too much of a risk given how little there is to play for.
