Video: Hearts benefit from major VAR call to go six clear of Celtic

Hearts were 2-0 winners against Falkirk this evening to go six points clear of Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premiership. The Jambos were handed a huge slice of luck in the first half after Harry Milne appeared to block a goal bound effort with his hand.
The incident was checked but cleared by VAR. However, the Premier Sports Cup Semi Final penalty given against Celtic suggests another inconsistency with decision making.
Officials have not penalised decisions against Rangers in games against Livi and Dundee United for seemingly clear handballs.
Celtic will have two games in hand, that would still take them level with the Tynecastle outfit. However, McInnes’ team will be buoyed by back to back away wins.
Holders Celtic, meanwhile, will be fully focused on tomorrow’s Premier Sports Cup Final against St Mirren at Hampden as Wilfried Nancy looks to get his hands on the first piece of silverware of the campaign.
Celtic then play one of our two games in hand over Hearts – away to Dundee United at Tannadice on Wednesday night, with the match being shown live on Sky Sports.
