Viktor Gyokeres does not know what the future holds for amid intense transfer speculation.
It has been suggested the in-form striker could follow Ruben Amorim to Manchester United after the Portuguese agreed to leave Sporting Club to become their new manager on 11 November.
The Lions have reported agreed to let the Sweden international leave the club next summer for between €60-70m, a discount on the €100m release clause in his contract.
Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and Spurs have also been linked with Gyokeres, who has scored 63 goals in 66 appearances since joining Sporting from Coventry City in 2023.
“I don’t know,” Gyokeres told Portuguese broadcaster Sport TV. “I’m here, and I really like being here. It’s not something I think about. I’m enjoying it here.”
The 26-year-old was speaking after he scored four goals in Sporting’s 5-1 win over Estrela Amadora. Amorim oversaw the victory as he serves his notice period before officially taking over at Man Utd.
“Of course, it’s not a normal situation. But we won 5-1, and the team reacted very well. We are professionals, and we have to continue like this.
“We are sad to see [Amorim] leave; he is a great professional; he was fantastic for us, but we have to adapt. It’s difficult to talk about the future, but we will definitely do the same job and continue to give our best. We wish him the best. It’s very good for him.”
Gyokeres has already scored 20 goals in all competitions this season, while Sporting are unbeaten in the Primeira Liga and sit atop the table.
