Viljami Sinisalo was one of the heroes last week as the Celts disabled the Motherwell threat by turning a 1-0 deficit into a 3-1 win to maintain the title challenge for the Hoops.

This weekend, it's Dundee United on the agenda, and in the build-up to the trip to Tannadice, the keeper spoke to Celtic TV about the game.

The Finn said: “We’re all looking forward to it, it’s been a hectic four months, things have happened, a lot of games, not many free midweeks.

“So we need to get through this other weekend, take three points, go away on international duty and some of the lads will probably have a few days off.

‘And then we come back refocused and go again, but the main thing is this weekend and I’m sure everyone will be absolutely 100 per cent ready for this.’

“It’s very much about us, as it always is. It’s about us and how what type of personality and play we bring to the game.

“That’s always the case, that’s the only thing we can control – how we approach it, how we start the game.

“These games away from home, they’re very important how you start, you can control the crowd a little bit.

“I’m sure we’ll be backed by a big away crowd again, which is amazing.

“So, I’ve personally got great memories from Tannadice from last season, so I hope we can recreate something similar this week.”

The ideal preparation for the game was last weekend’s win and the resilience with which it was achieved.

Sinisalo said: “It just shows again the character within the changing room.

“Motherwell are obviously a very, very good side, they ask a lot of questions of you in the game.

“I’ve been quite complimentary of them this season, they’re a tough team to play against and we dealt with it well.

“We came out of the dressing room in the second half with a real plan and got the three points which is the main thing, and we need to take that into this weekend.”

The third goal was all-important in last weekend’s win and it was the goal of the game as Yang fired home with some style following a route one attack on the Motherwell goal, and, of course, Sinisalo is claiming a rightful assist for the goal with his pinpoint pass.

He said: “I’ll be claiming that! To be fair, Yang does all the hard work, it’s not about me, but he does really well to take it and finish it really well.

“So, all credit to him, but I’ll be claiming that - it’s the first of my career.”
